Import Issues Roundtable

Background:

PFA members report increasing import activity through ports on both coasts. Import shipments include both slabstock and fabricated FPF products such as viscoelastic, specialty products and conventional FPF used in the manufacture of upholstered furniture and bedding.

Based on observations of how rapid increase in import volume has affected other industries' job base and economics, PFA organized a special issues-focused session to hear the experience of other similar industries, and learn about ways we may be able to thwart potentially unfair competition.

Please plan to join us Wednesday, October 8 from 1:30PM to 4:30PM as we hear from experts.

Featured speakers include:

Robert DuPree - Vice-president, Government Affairs, American Textile Manufacturers Institute

Pat Mears - China Import Issues Specialist, National Association of Manufacturers

Robert Sack - Group Technical Director, Dunlop Flexible Foam Group, Australia

Joe Dorn - Partner, King & Spalding LLP - Retained Counsel, American Furniture Manufacturers Association (anti-dumping actions)
