As part of the consent decree the FPF industry additionally agreed to spend 5 million dollars over a period of five years on sponsored research aimed at understanding the relationship of FPF and fire.

We learned that there is no such thing as a “standard” or “real” fire by which performance of a material can be measured and and projected to perform under all conditions. Each fire is unique. The following presentation will touch on the complexity of any fire and the difficulty of measuring the interactions of varied of materials and conditions involved in any fire scenario.
